Equal pay for women and men
The average wage gap between women and men is currently estimated at 18.3% by the Swiss Federal Statistical Office. On 21 August 2019, the Federal Council announced legislative amendments in order to strengthen equal pay between women and men which will be applied from 1 July 2020.
