A career start with Mazars

Will you graduate soon from a university or a college of higher education and are you interested in a career in audit and advisory? Then apply to us.

We are looking for people:

  • With strong analytical and communication skills
  • With the ability to learn fast
  • Who enjoy working in a team
  • With the curiosity to understand the client’s business
  • Who will graduate soon with a Bachelor or a Master degree
  • Who preferably study business, economics or law and are preferentially specialised in Accounting & Finance, although other specialisations are also highly appreciated
  • With fluency in English and German and possibly other languages (not mandatory)
  • With a good academic record
  • With enthusiasm and the eagerness for new experiences
  • Who in the ideal case already gathered some practical experiences in audit or accounting

The career start as a junior financial auditor begins, together with the career starters from the other Mazars Switzerland offices, with an integration seminar in the Swiss Alps. This training should not only prepare you for upcoming projects, but also set the base for your personal Mazars network.

After the integration Seminar you will already work on your first mandates in the area of insurance, industry and banking. You will have the opportunity to get to know leading national and international companies from diverse industries.

When working on the engagement you will be exposed to the whole world of audit and accounting. You will get to know new business models and work in close contact with our clients. Our experienced auditors will lead you through this process and support you in every step. There are no stupid questions and no closed doors at Mazars.

Already in your first year as a junior you will start with the academy, where you graduate after three years as a certified auditor. Also on this process Mazars will support you with everything you need.

In your second year as a junior you will additionally take part in national and international advisory projects to also become an expert in this field.

Further career steps are the Senior Auditor, Manager, Senior Manager and finally the Partner.

As a graduate you start on the 1st of October. The recruiting process consists of the three interviews with a Senior Auditor, Manager and the Partner. Shortly after the last interview we will let you know about our decision.

Meet Mazars:

Michel Beck, Junior Financial Auditor

Michel Beck Michel graduated with a Master in Business and Economics from the University of Basel and the University of Sydney. He has gathered his first practical experiences in Product Management and in the Asset and Liability Management before he started his career with Mazars in the insurance sector. “What is unique about Mazars, is not only the possibility to work on national and international projects in audit and advisory, but the cultural diversity of the Mazars team. It can easily be the case that while my manager explains me a new task in English, you can hear a talk in Russian about the last advisory project in the nearby office and a discussion in French about the last details of a proposal in the kitchen. This cultural diversity in connection with our international clients and a highly professional way of dealing with complex financial and legal matters, offers the ideal learning- and development environment for an open-minded person as myself.”
